Angel of the Independence of Mexico 1910-2024

The monument to the Angel of Independence is one of the unequivocal distinctive features of Mexico City, recognized worldwide as a reference for this country.
The figure was designed and made by the French-Italian artist Enrique Alciati. It weighs seven tons.
It was inaugurated on September 16, 1910.
